Nicolas Dantas, Front-end developer at Hubup
Nicolas, could you briefly introduce yourself and tell us more about the position you currently hold?
In 2020, before the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, I decided to leave that field and pursue a career change in the world of web development.
Today, I hold the position of Front-end Developer. Responsible for creating the interface of our apps, in other words, their visible part, my role is to make the use of our solutions enjoyable and practical.
How did you discover the profession of a developer?
Numerous resources are available on the Internet, whether related to the profession itself or more technical aspects, making it very easy to obtain information!
How did you discover Hubup?
We faced real challenges in terms of route learning for our drivers. Consequently, I was very interested in the Flexnav solution offered by Hubup.
We stayed in touch after I left, and after completing my training, I started working part-time at Hubup! This way, I could bring my experience in passenger transport to better meet the demands of our clients.
How was your career transition organized?
After that, I attended a five-month training program at the Wild Code School, followed by a year of apprenticeship at Hubup, which allowed me to further deepen my knowledge.
Even though the training pace is intense given its duration and the amount of information to absorb, my career transition went very well. I discovered a truly interesting environment where one continues to learn throughout their career.
What is your hidden talent/passion?
Once back, there’s only one desire: to set off again!
Incidentally, I still appreciate driving buses, and occasionally, I even drive for some of our clients to test our solutions.
